With his art, BENKA aims to encourage viewers to question digitalization and the use of smartphones and artificial intelligence in our daily lives. The artist is particularly interested in the complex interaction between humans and machines, exploring both the opportunities and the risks it entails.
Symbol of robotization: In BENKA’s work, the term CAPTCHA serves as the title of each painting. A CAPTCHA is an automated sequence of numbers and/or letters that tests whether the user is human or a machine. In the same way, letters and numbers form the base of his artworks, which are then completed with an intuitive, raw application of color.
